Arabinda Samanta‘s works are deeply inspired by Indian Mythology. Most of his paintings are a celebration of love and togetherness.
“I am overwhelmed by the innate feelings of love and its intensity expressed in the sculptures of Konark, Khajuraho and other places in India. The depiction of lovemaking in these works that feature passionate lovers inspired me to paint my series on love.”
These feelings of love, togetherness, enjoyment, exhilaration, anxiety, commitment and sanctity of their eternity and divinity in the company of nature and rustic monumental arenas find a strategic place in Samanta’s works.
