About Me

Born in a traditionally and culturally rich land of Thalassery in Kerala, I began my journey as an artist at a very young age. Realising my passion for bringing life through my paintings, I completed my Diploma in Drawing and Painting at the Kerala School of Arts, Thalassery in 1988. To quench my thirst for knowledge and to gain experience led me to Mumbai in 1989. I initially worked as an illustrator & later on as Art Director in leading advertising agencies. Today I am a Partner and Creative Art Director in my own advertising agency, Ad Mantra, Parallely, I have also been consistently following my dreams & passion for art.
Most of my current works are based on indianized themes - capturing movement and life together with very intricate flow of line details. Nature & Myth has always been an integral part of my work. Like a catalyst, nature has had a very strong influence and inspiration in my works. These are a reflection of the textures of the world around us – faces, clothing, vibrating atmospheric effects, gales of wind, sweeping skies, rolling clouds, the cold & dark silence of forests, etc. Even though, detailing is done using a lot of inconspicuous objects and reality that are related to the overall theme, these blend together in a picture perfect manner, allowing the viewers to be captivated by its mesmerizing and intricate beauty.
