“art at you comfort” a makeshift gallery at a fun fair in school
A 30ft X 20ft stall set up in a funfair hosted by the Hiranandani Foundation School located in the upmarket locales of Hirananadani Gardens, Powai in the Central suburbs of the city of dreams.
We exhibited works of 24 emerging artists from around the country and presented 40 pieces of art . The main motive was to introduce colourentice.com to the high end locality of Powai.
We replicated “art at you comfort” a makeshift gallery created to get art from the hinterlands of India closer to the residents of this high end locality.
The other major participants in the funfair were Apple corporation, KENT purifiers and Volkswagen.
While this was a small adventure to sell paintings at a fun fair, however we were able to make 7 artists smile at the end of the evening and could spread our message to about 450 walk ins from the locality. We are sure this effort would help our artists reach out many relevant households in Powai.
It was a well appreciated effort from all quarters.
What a wonderful effort. Very rare to see an original art stall at a school fun fair. Great idea.. All the best

Very well done Manjula and the team of colourentice. It was a pleasure to visit this stall. This was by far, the most soothing experience in the fun fair.
